I remember this happening with David at AlzCare......I still can't believe that my sweet David has been gone from me for 3 months. He's whole again and I'm thrilled with that, but I still miss him so much.

I haven't gone back to AlzCare since David died...... I keep thinking I will, but haven't yet.

Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Doloreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13532665442199865950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289811992988702657.post-64306167058483178372013-01-10T11:33:08.756-08:002013-01-10T11:33:08.756-08:00Dear Alice, I'm so sorry you've had to pla...Dear Alice, I'm so sorry you've had to place JR, but I am so thankful for those wonderful people who care for our loved ones. The time for placement sort of sneaks up on you. As a caregiver, you take on more and more and one day you think through the reality of it all and wonder how you can continue. You are probably like me and find that you are still his main caregiver in making decisions and communicating closely with the staff. Thank you for reading and for commenting. Keep in touch. kathyKathy Knowleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14821708227918444513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289811992988702657.post-50683195086681242382013-01-10T10:01:16.204-08:002013-01-10T10:01:16.204-08:00Oh my, I am sorry, Kathy. I'm thankful the Lord has blessed you with His Grace to walk this out.Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09692441927088206260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289811992988702657.post-7771858718759822022013-01-10T06:18:12.613-08:002013-01-10T06:18:12.613-08:00Hello, Kathy, Since I've been following your ...Hello, Kathy, Since I've been following your blog my husband has mirrored your Billy in almost everything he's done - within a few months or so. Billy had a pillow incident and a trash can incident and my husband JR did the exact same thing a few weeks or months later. There were many other incidents as well and when you put Billy in Lexington Place I thought it would be longer for JR but in October I placed him in a memory care facility. I, too, have gotten to know all the residents and try to greet them by name. I dread the time when someone will go "missing" and I find out they have died. Thanks for your writing. It has really helped me cope with this insidious disease and helped me brace for what is yet to come.
